For her 2011’s spring/summer fashion show in Beijing that took place last May, Chinese fashion designer Jenny Ji invited MAKE UP FOR EVER to join her.
The new and up-and-coming fashion designer Jenny Ji made the catwalk for the first time in Beijing last May. For the occasion, MAKE UP FOR EVER led the makeup by designing a blossoming look.
Inspired by childhood games, Jenny Ji’s 2011 S/S collection features various shapes worn in loose and comfortable ways. She uses organic and natural material together with joyful patterns to evoke these games. Fresh colors such as lemon yellow and sweet pink recall the long-lost enjoyment of childhood. In line with the concept and colors, MAKE UP FOR EVER drew its inspiration from the Flower Fairies and designed a look with not only lovely ethereal feelings but also from the tranquilness and softness of femininity.
Senior make-up artist at MAKE UP FOR EVER, Zhao Tianqi designed a contrasting-color look of bright orange eye makeup matched with baby pink lips makeup. He used bright orange Star Powder and a duo of gold and black Aqua Liner on the eyes. Pink Aqua Cream 6# is applied on the lips, creating a contrast with the bright orange.
