MAKE UP FOR EVER FOR PIERRE AND GILLES
MAKE UP FOR EVER behind the scenes of the « Paris-Delhi-Bombay…» exhibition at the famous Modern Art Museum in Paris, with French artists Pierre and Gilles.
Discover the work of the French artists, Pierre and Gilles at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris during the “Paris-Delhi-Bombay…” exhibition this summer. This event is the occasion to gather French and Indian artists, their ideas, impressions of India (work, religion, urban growth, woman’s status…).
For the occasion, DANY SANZ and her make up team joined the two artists backstage for the ultimate make over.
Pierre and Gilles are romantic as well as artistic partners. They met in Paris in 1976, and have sine worked together. The former is a photographer, the latter hand-paints and retouches the photos, creating a stylised kitsch touch. Their work mainly evolves around themes such as gay, pop culture and religions. They have worked or the image of celebrities such as Jean-Paul Gauthier, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Mugler… and are much inspired by Bollywood.
MAKE UP FOR EVER is proud to have achieved outstandingly colourful and representative make up of the following three Indian gods: Rama, Hanuman and Sita, in favour of the French couple’s work. Check out the backstage in the photo gallery.
And discover the final pieces during the exhibition. See you there!
