LET'S MEET DAVID

David was born in Lebanon and raised in France and has always had a true passion for art in all of its forms; he always knew he would someday follow his dreams and work in the artistic world.

He followed his heart and enrolled in the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Paris. It was there that he understood that this was a new way in which to express himself.

This led him to teach Pro Master Classes for Cinema and TV makeup techniques at the London College of Fashion where his work was noticed and appreciated by Mr. Paul Gooch, the 7 time award winning makeup artist.

He experienced the typical challenges that most freelance makeup artists face when trying to make it in Paris. David worked his way to the top with experience in nearly every facet in the industry: French Television (TF1 national channel in France, M6 and NRJ), Cinema, several runway shows including Lanvin, Franck Sorbier, François Sirop, Woogyoungmi, to name a few.

MAKE UP FOR EVER & DAVID

One of his teachers during the time he spent at the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy was Dany Sanz. This proved to be a crucial, life-changing encounter. After 1 year in the field he was solicited by Dany Sanz to join MAKE UP FOR EVER, an offer he couldn’t refuse!

Later David joined the Education department team and became an International Makeup Artist and Trainer.

His goal is “to satisfy and please our customers around the world, to bring to our sales force all of the professional tips and advice that I can for selling our products. I’m also here to help the National Trainers and Makeup Artists by sharing with them my brand know-how”.

David is currently a MAKE UP FOR EVER International Makeup Artist and proudly represents the company as one of its Brand Ambassadors. He has traveled to over 27 countries to train makeup artists of all ages, whether professionals or beginners. He teaches the students in schools and their teachers, MAKE UP FOR EVER sales people and professional makeup artists, as well as private individuals who wish to learn or perfect their makeup techniques.

His favorite MAKE UP FOR EVER products are: Elixir HD, Aqua Eyes in Black and Mist & Fix.

“Mist & Fix sets the makeup and keeps it in place all day long, a spray after every makeup step and your makeup won’t fade away!” He is also an avid user of Diamond Powders which he uses on everyone – even the most reluctant of models. “Once I’m done they thank me for using the Diamond Powder – even if they didn’t originally think they wanted it on them!”.

DAVID's FAVORITE BRONZING PRODUCTS:

"My favorite MAKE UP FOR EVER bronzing product has to be the Face & Body. I consider it as THE must-have liquid foundation for both men and women, for an all-year-round use. It improves the aspect of the skin while remaining natural and subtle as it is for 80% composed of water.

During the summer period, I like to mix my model’s shade with a darker tone of Uplight. This really gives that healthy summer glow to the skin.

I usually apply Face & Body with a body sponge as it’s quick and easy and creates a uniform result. And I always finish it off with some Mist & Fix, my all time favourite!

On the other hand, in winter I rather a matte finish for a soft, warm finish. I generally apply some HD Primer to moisturize the skin first, followed by the adapted shade of Face & Body and finish the complexion off with the Mat Bronze compact powder. This will fix and matify the result.

As a man, I like to use Mat Bronze on myself as it provides a non-shiny finish and a naturally health look."
