For this year’s New York Fashion Week Spring 2012, MAKE UP FOR EVER hits backstage at some of this year’s fashion shows.  

MAKE UP FOR EVER Alliance makeup artist Lottie, served as key makeup artist to Cynthia Rowley’s Spring 2012 show.
The look Lottie designed was very clean, cool and sporty with hints of sweat and glowing skin. She wanted the models to look slightly masculine, so the makeup featured strong, low brows with bare lips, and subtly sprayed on Sweat Effect Gel.

A fresh makeup look, with a sporty masculine feel to play with the designer's collection that is built on distorted floral prints, perforated mesh leather t-shirts, metallic zigzag patterns with shimmering gold sequin details and athletic elements…

Here is how to get the look:

Complexion: Lottie first applied our HD Foundation to give the models a flawless canvas, and then added a slight contour using Eyeshadows in #76 and #98.  She then illuminated the complexion using Uplight #12 along with Star Powder #902 and #974. To give the skin a dewy, glistening finish, she sprayed the face with Sweat Effects Gel.

Eyes: Lottie lowered the brows by creating a shadow beneath them using Eyeshadow #17 or #98 depending on skin tone. The lids were kept simple and nude looking.  She finished the eyes with a thick coat of Smoky Lash Mascara in #1 black and #3 in brown.

Lips: The lips were bare with just a hint of Moisturizing Lip Balm.
