Spring Forward Arty Blossom Spring/14

By the time you read this, Spring may well have sprung. If it hasn’t, it is about to pop wide open. The new MAKE UP FOR EVER Spring collection, Arty Blossom, is dropping and it’s something to write home about.

As always with a new collection, we ask MAKE UP FOR EVER Founder and Artistic Director Dany Sanz about her inspiration for the collection.

Moodboard:
Watercolor paintings
The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival. That pink.
Romanticism. And good old-fashioned romance, for that matter.
Nature

“Arty Blossom was inspired by nature, by flowers in bloom, and by the colors we see in nature at this time of year. I started with a face chart composed of watercolor shades. Pure and translucent, yet still fresh, a palette where color reigns supreme. And a face, painted like a watercolor.”

It’s true that there is color. True color – vibrant, just like in nature – but, thanks to its translucent formula, created just for this collection, the powders play with light and color just like in a painting.

“There is Turquoise Blue, Fresh Peach, Gold Green, Gold Beige, Gold Plum and Pearly White and Pink. But not just any pink. Fresh Pink. It’s a ‘healthy’, delicate pink that is youthful and dewy. I wanted it to be a radiant look. Less of a city girl, and closer to nature.”

After hibernating all winter, aren’t you ready for a colorful, Spring glow?
