When High Definition technology first reared its head about 15 years ago, nobody knew quite what to expect. Makeup artists in particular were concerned, knowing that HD meant ultra-precise images, revealing every line, red mark and out of place detail on skin. They knew we’d see everything.

Dany Sanz, Founder and Artistic Director of MAKE UP FOR EVER and a makeup artist herself, got everybody on the case immediately. Months were spent in the lab, with chemists concocting formulas, mixing and merging ingredients in order to find a solution that would work with this new digital technology. Imperceptible yet perfect coverage and flawless-looking skin under microscope-like conditions were the goals. Easy, then. Before any of the products were given the green light, professional cameramen were brought in to test each formulation and make sure the products performed the way they were supposed in HD conditions.

The HD range – such as our famous HD powder and HD foundation - was created for pro makeup artists and those working in front of unforgiving bright lights, but luckily for the rest of us is available to all. We may not be under such extreme scrutiny every day, but...actually, sure we are. You never know who’s watching. It’s probably best to assume that somebody is. With everyone you know en garde with their smartphones, ready to snap photos 24/7, your next close-up could be moments away. Thanks to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s HD line, natural-looking perfect skin is within your reach. And that’s a beautiful thing.

Why not look amazing all the time?
