Lash Out! “Update your Eyes Wardrobe”

Standout lashes are the new must have accessory. Don’t have naturally thick, long lashes of your own? No problem, just fake it! Read on to learn how to incorporate false lashes into your routine and get the look that everyone’s after.

No doubt about it, 2015 is the year of the lash. From the red carpet in Cannes to the corner café, women are going all out in the lash department. The looks range from naturally subtle to go-big-or-go-home bold. One thing’s for sure – they make an impact.

False eyelashes have long been the secret weapon of stars who need to look their best when facing a wall of photographers, but generally not part of a woman’s daily makeup routine. Not anymore! Thanks to the easy-to-apply, the new range now available, false lashes can take your look from good to great every day. Get the application right and they’ll give your look a real lift, brightening up your face so well you may not need any other makeup.

Now is the time to lash out with this ultra-feminine, modern and whimsical look. Why not try them all?

Plus, MAKE UP FOR EVER’s false lashes are so comfortable and easy to apply that they can be worn every day. Follow these tips for applying your new, versatile accessory and you’ll have all eyes on you.

• Check the fit of the lash first by testing it along your lash line before applying any glue. Trim the false lashes at the outer corner along the base to fit your eye. Don’t neglect this step – lashes that reach beyond the natural lash line can make you look tired and drag the eye down.
• After ensuring your eye makeup and liner are complete, add a little glue across the base false lash. Add a little more glue to either end – this will help the lash adhere to the outer edges of your eye where there is the most movement when you smile. Wait until the glue is a little tacky to the touch. Now you’re ready to start application.
•  Looking straight at the mirror, take your false lash by one end with tweezers and place it along your lash line, starting at the center and working your way first to the inner corner, then to the outer corner. Try not to move your eye around too much while the lash glue is drying.
• Add some extra mascara by using your mascara wand vertically. That way, you have more control of the amount of mascara you use and are less likely to get smudges around your eye.
• Finish off with a sweep of liquid liner to cover up any glue and to blend the false lash line with your own.

So what are you waiting for? Kit yourself out with a new wardrobe for your eyes and let the lash show begin!
