Hirugao: when makeup meets TV drama

Discover the last Japanese TV drama partnership with MAKE UP FOR EVER.

Japanese drama series title "Hirugao" is derived from a relatively new Japanese expression "Heijitsu Hirugao Tsuma" which refers to housewives having afternoon affairs while their husband's are working.

The expression "Heijitsu Hirugao Tsuma" is derived from the French film "Belle de Jour”, the famous 1967 movie by Luis Bunuel with Catherine Deneuve.

For the opening of “Hirugao”, MAKE UP FOR EVER supervised the makeup creation as the body painting expert. Using Fluo night products and the emblematic Aqua Cream, the pictures showcase the world of the brand, reflecting the content of the drama.
