Life is a stage – Body Art & Fashion Show

To celebrate its 30y anniversary, MAKE UP FOR EVER teamed up with six fashion designers for a spectacular Body Art event “The Art Of Illusion” at the Palais de Tokyo during the Paris Fashion week.

MAKE UP FOR EVER wanted to pay tribute to the harmonious relationship and artistic sensitivity that the brand shares with the world of fashion.

Dany Sanz teamed up with six designers (Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Kenzo, Emilio Pucci, Shiatzy Chen, Valentin Yudashkin and Zuhair Murad) to showcase the illusionism of makeup and fashion. Designer dresses were recreated with makeup on the body, resulting in a most unsettling mirror effect.

“The Art Of Illusion” exulted the cult of the spectacular, a powerful and richly colorful expression of creativity, performance and exuberance that unites the MAKE UP FOR EVER through the arts. As Body art is MAKE UP FOR EVER’s historial and core technique, it was an evidence to celebrate its 30 years anniversary with six body paintings.

Twelve makeup artists took part with Dany to realize these six body paintings and challenge makeup techniques to match with patterns, texture and color of the six dresses.
