Step by Step

Learn how to even out your skin tone and highlight your cheeks and brows for a flawless complexion with this Highlighting and Contouring step by step.

Steps 2 / 8:

Start by applying your appropriate foundation formula from the center of the face and working outwards, blend into the ears. Continue with the chin, blending into the jawline and neck. Follow with the forehead, blending evenly into the hairline. Don’t forget the area around the eyes. Steps 3 / 8:

Apply the concealer first to the deepest area under the eyes. Apply corrections where needed (around the nostrils, chin or imperfections). Products used in photo: HD Concealer Alternative products: Lift Concealer, Concealer Pencil, Camouflage Cream Pot, Camouflage Cream Palette

Steps 4 / 8:

Apply highlights on top of your cheekbones. Be careful not to apply it on the area underneath the eyes. Apply it also under the arch of the brow. You may also apply it on top of your Cupids bow – at the edge of the center top lip. Products used in photo: Uplight, Precision Highlighter Brush Alternative products: Compact Shine On, Shine On Powder

Steps 5 / 8:

Apply contour in the hallow of the face with a darker shade then your skin tone. Behind the ears along the jawbone, sweep towards the chin and blend upwards. Begin application at the hairline (at the middle of the ear) and blend slightly towards the mouth to sculpt the cheek and blend it upwards to emphasize the cheekbone. Blend next to the temple from the hairline towards the forehead. Products used in photo: Pro Finish, Foundation Kabuki Alternative products: Sculpting Kit, Mat Bronze

Steps 6 / 8:

Give your complexion a soft mat finish and fix your foundation by applying powder, starting at the center of the face, working outwards using sweeping movements. Don’t powder over your Highlights to keep this part very glowy. Products used in photo: HD Powder, Foundation Kabuki Alternative products: Super Matte Loose Powder, Velvet Finish

Steps 7 / 8:

You may even finish your complexion by adding  a shiny powder on top of your highlights to intensify the shine. Products used in photo: Star Powder, Precision Highlighter Brush Alternative products: Diamond Powder

Steps 8 / 8: Result

Final result.

Perfect Match

I tried this product and it was literally the most perfect match for my skin that I've ever seen. I love that the foundation really does even out my skin tone and gave me a flawless face.

Many say that Pro Finish cannot compare to Mat Duo. I haven't tried Mat Duo so I can't compare the two, but I must say that Pro Finish is amazing on my SENSITIVE dry and oily combination skin (I have eczema AND oily skin. Crazy, I know.). It doesn't irritate my skin and a little goes a long way; I don't need a lot of powder to achieve an even canvas (when I say even, I don't mean covering up acne/acne scars, but covering redness and having an even skintone overall), which I love. I apply it with a flat top brush which gives me a well-blended, full coverage application. I noticed that Pro Finish does oxidize. It became about two shades darker than my skintone within a few hours of wear, so I recommend selecting a shade that's two shades lighter than what you think you'd be. Will definitely re-purchase!
