Coordinator, Graphic Design - New York, NY

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

Responsible for creating all internal, external and POS visual layouts:  creating and manipulating various brand images for presentations, packaging, catalogs and other collateral for the online/in-store retail environment and for print publication.

Responsible for maintaining the brand look and feel and bringing consistency to all materials developed within the US office.

Graphic Design

Create layouts for POS utilizing existing model visuals and product images

Centralize all design of POS, flyers, invitations, menus, etc for a consistent brand image through printed materials

Assists and organizes any outside freelance graphic help/agencies when needed

Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts

Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed

Coordinate with all involved parties on design requirements and specifications as early as possible

Support blog and all social media channels with graphic identities (Facebook, Twitter)

Produce high-quality static and animated banners and emails (flash and.gif)

Visual Library

Create and maintain in house archival image network, including record of usage rights

EDUCATION          

Bachelor degree required (BA or BS) in Graphic Design, Fine Art or related degree

WORK EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3-4 years' experience in graphic design

Beauty/Fragrance Retail experience a must; Sephora experience is a plus.

Merchandising design experience (i.e. POS, in store visuals, etc.)

SPECIAL SKILLS

Regional Educator - West Coast

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

Department of Education & Artistry position responsible for MUFE product and brand education, artistry development and business support for regionally based EAE's and Sephora store teams. Coaching and development of EAE's education and artistry skills, maintaining and building strong relationships working with and through regional EAE's and Sephora store team partners according to Department of Education & Artistry guidelines and corporate objectives.

Build and Maintain Strong Relationships both Internal and External:

  • Oversee EAE's education and artistry activities with all key Sephora personnel in each door and communicate successes and opportunities to appropriate levels.
  • Assist EAE's with all Sephora Store Teams in achievement of educational and artistry objectives through positive collaboration and guide EAE development of relationships both internal and external.
  • Foster respect and support for Sephora Brand Partner Expectations and uphold with and through EAE's during in-store presence.

  • Participate in development of educational and artistry programs, tools, and workshops.

Conduct Evaluation and Non-evaluation based Store Visits:

  • Follow guidelines and standards set forth by Department of Education & Artistry
  • Visit each EAE 1- 2 times per month to observe and/or identify educational and artistry opportunities of the individual EAE that can be further developed. Depending on EAE's location may be more frequent but not less than 1x per month.
  • Support, assist, or facilitate cast certifications, and store based initiatives and events based on EAE's availability, seasonal expectations and/or high volume store focus as required.
  • 4 times per year conduct CT Evaluations (2) and AD Evaluations (2) to be held over two consecutive days to provide effective feedback, practice, and follow up.

Administrative:

  • Office administrative day 1x per week on a common day to be determined through the Director of Education and Artistry. Calendars, evaluations, objectives, expense reporting, travel arrangement, follow-ups, strategy and any other relevant job scope duties are to be scheduled for these days. Frequent status conference calls may also be scheduled for these days.
  • Exhibit consistent, appropriate and effective business communication skills and record keeping. Including Committed Training (CT) Evaluations, Artistry Development (AD) Evaluations, and Education & Artistry databases.
  • Exhibit consistent and appropriate interpersonal communication skills, efficiency and adaptability, effective time management, fiscal budgetary responsibility, calendar and travel responsibility, initiative and excellent follow through.

Personal Education & Artistry Skill Development: Through working closely with Director of Education & Artistry, National Educator, and PRO Educator, attending PRO Trainings, Academy Special Sessions, Tradeshows, PRO Roadshows and/or special events when requested or invited. Demonstrate competency and proficiency in achievement of personal Level certifications.

Professional Business Development Intern - New York, NY

General Purpose of Position

The MAKE UP FOR EVER Professional Business Development intern will be supporting the Professional Business Manager, Professional Business Coordinators and Professional Business Departmental Assistant – who oversee all aspects of the department. The Professional Business intern will also assist with special projects as needed.

  • Organize/sort mail and faxes as needed
  • Work with the Pro Business Departmental Assistant to process data and enter new applicants into the Backstage Card Program
  • Organize incoming applications for the Backstage Card Program
  • Work with the Pro Business Departmental Assistant to mail merge documents and ensure membership letters and labels are printed in a timely fashion
  • Assist with Backstage Card mass mailings, stuffing and labeling envelopes
  • Assist the Professional Business Manager and team with artist relations inquiries
  • General departmental support, including but not limited to: faxing, filing, expense reporting, answering phones, and organizing employee records
  • Assist with any other special projects as directed by the team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e.; Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to learn quickly, retain processes, and work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication

The ideal candidate will be able to work three days per week and be able to start early May 2014 for the summer semester. This is an unpaid internship and requires the student to receive school credit.

MAKE UP FOR EVER is seeking an intern to support the Marketing & Merchandising department. The Marketing & Merchandising Intern will work closely with the team to assist with responsibilities including monthly marketing reports, competitive research, new product launches, mailings and management of product closet.

Digital Marketing Internship - New York, NY

MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

MAKE UP FOR EVER is seeking an energetic, creative and innovative hands on person to assist in the launch of a new E-Commerce system, as well as social media initiatives. The ideal person will have a strong understanding of the digital landscape. You should also have a working knowledge of social media and understand the power of social media presence for brands and products.

Students working toward a college degree in Marketing, E-Commerce, Advertising or Communications are preferred.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE - REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

INTERNAL

  • REPORTS TO: Director of Digital

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Director of Digital on competitive research and analysis, staying up to date on new technology, data collection/entry, and email marketing.
  • Help track and report metrics and trends with strategic analysis and recommendations.
  • Actively monitor communication on social media platforms and be able to translate conversations into ideas and strategy.
  • Provide ideas to connect our social initiatives in a way that leverages all media platforms and integrated marketing channels currently used to build brand and promote awareness, drive trial and realized active tune-in goals.
  • Create campaign ideas to drive e-mail signups to MAKE UP FOR EVER database.
  • Assist other members of the Marketing Department as needed.

PRINCIPAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Currently a Bachelor's Degree or MBA Candidate.
  • Knowledge of primary social platforms and new and emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge of branding within digital media marketing and e-commerce landscape.
  • Understanding of web 2.0 & 3.0 principles, SEM, SEO, PPC, e-mail, and social media preferred.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

  • You will be very professional and have excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • You will be capable of working on your own as well as within a team.
  • You will be highly enthusiastic with a passion for digital marketing and social media.
